EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The JMM is a dynamic, AAM-accredited museum located in downtown Baltimore near the Inner Harbor. The Museum interprets the American Jewish experience for diverse audiences, fosters cross-cultural understanding, and promotes public discourse about issues in Jewish and American life. The Museum houses an important collection of regional Jewish Americana and owns and interprets two historic synagogues. Its award-winning programs and exhibitions serve an annual audience of 30,000 users on- and off-site, plus more than 40,000 online visitors. Reporting to the Board, the Executive Director provides interpretive direction for programs, exhibitions and publications. He/she also manages the budget and personnel, raises funds, and represents the Museum to donors, partners, and the community. A proven track record in fundraising and experience in non-profit management are essential. Familiarity with cultural and educational organizations is a plus. Personal attributes will include excellent verbal and written communication skills. Successful candidates could come from a variety of professional contexts, and will bring significant leadership experience and success.
