The Jewish Museum of Maryland always has one or two-or even three-exhibition projects in development. It's a big job, and you can help! If you have stories to tell, or objects, photographs, and memorabilia to lend that are related to any of the topics listed below, we want to hear from you.

Even for the People of the Book, ceremonial art is rich with meaning. Object Lessons: Seven Ways to Understand Judaica, will connect objects to the celebrations and observances for which they were created, and then look beyond function to search out the multiple meanings they embody.
Objects of particular interest to us are those that include personal or family stories or interesting histories, those that are used for new and innovative rituals, and items of exquisite or unusual craftsmanship. Objects that are "homemade" or are modified to extend their use beyond their original purpose are also of interest.
Examples:
*Miriam's Cup
*Family written (or community authored) Haggadah
*Miriam's Tambourine
*Women's tallit
*Car mezzuzah
*Items related to health and well-being
*Tu B'Shevat seder items
*Omer counter
*Passover cleaning set
*Items relating to Confirmation ceremonies
*Items related to Yom HaShoah and Yom HaAtzmaut observances
*Decorations for a sukkah
*Anything you think is unusual or especially beautiful, as long as it is used in a Jewish ritual or ceremony
