Bennett Muraskin is a staff representative for the American Federation of Teachers in New Jersey, representing college faculty and staff. He is the author of three books: The Association of Jewish Libraries Guide to Yiddish Short Stories, Humanist Readings in Jewish Folklore and Let Justice Well Up Like Water: Progressive Jews from Hillel to Helen Suzman. He is a frequent contributor to Jewish Currents and Humanistic Judaism. Bennett is adult education director for the Jewish Culture School and Society in W. Orange, N.J.
